Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Coordinator.

The Department of Population Health at NYU Grossman School of Medicine seeks a Program Coordinator to support the City Health Dashboard (www.cityhealthdashboard.com) and Congressional District Health Dashboard (www.congressionaldistricthealthdashboard.org). The Dashboards are national interactive data websites that provide metrics on health and social drivers of health to policymakers at the city and congressional district levels. Additional audiences include community advocates, researchers, and the media, broadly. This position will support our efforts to empower policymakers with data to improve health and the social drivers of health. Responsibilities will include researching policies, programs and best practices related to the use of geographically granular data about health and drivers of health to improve population health. The Dashboard team is large and highly collaborative. Applicants can expect to work closely with other project staff.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and identify trends in health and public health policy to inform the Dashboards dissemination and promotion strategies
  • Support efforts to reach policymakers and policy-oriented audiences including contributing to website updates, creating tailored dissemination materials, and preparing for and conducting website demonstrations
  • Research and curate resources to support interpretation and application of Dashboard data, and best practices in data translation for policy and programmatic change
  • Conduct basic literature reviews to enhance Dashboard metric background information and to inform consideration of potential new metrics
  • Periodically review and update metric background information, and contribute to the description of the public health rationale for new metrics
  • Communicate effectively with other project staff, leadership, and internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate in various other team-based projects to further the goals of the Dashboard
  • Support the Senior Population Health Policy Analyst with other tasks as they are assigned, including administrative tasks
  • Conduct other tasks as necessary

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications. Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure. Ability to Project/Program manage and to multi task while paying attention to details.

Preferred Qualifications:
Project/Program management experience preferred; bachelors degree with 2 or more years of experience in public health, health policy, or a related field preferred.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64,350.00 - $64,350.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
