Overview:

The Manager, Enterprise Security Operations will be essential to the Enterprise Security function of a Fortune 500 company. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Enterprise Security, Operations and Governance, this position will work primarily with our Generation Fleet to implement and drive strategic mitigations developed to maintain the comprehensive security protections of our critical infrastructure assets. This role will perform or assist in frequent assessments, identify areas for technological improvement, installation or augmentation of security services to improve site security. This role will leverage risk-based security standards and processes to ensure standards implementation at site. Additionally, this position will support delivery of various security and metric reports, coordinate and deliver site level training, may integrate with local authorities, perform detailed investigations and support other activities of the Enterprise Security group as it relates to the protection of NRG executives and senior leadership.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Compile and supply data for entry into compliance and metrics reports for all applicable security & crisis management requirements.
  • Serve as a direct representative of the Enterprise Security department to interface with key stakeholders at sites to assist in maintaining our holistic security management system and implementing standards at all sites.
  • Day to day interaction with our contract guard force to include interaction with their senior management and leadership to better ensure compliance with the contract deliverables.
  • Implement mitigations based on reports from a comprehensive OSINT/Intelligence program.
  • Assist in development and delivery of Security training material.
  • Work closely with our internal partners such as HR, and Safety on a variety of security and non-security related issues.
  • Assist coordination of security project plans (implementation) at sites.
  • Deliver data based on in-person assessments and site contact feedback to contribute to the improvement of enterprise-wide risk-based security standards.
  • Growth mindset with the ability to take coaching and feedback with the desire to grow into broader leadership roles.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in security management, Criminal Justice or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years advanced or progressive security management experience (military, government, law enforcement).
  • Experience in delivering/implementing risk-based security practices and standards and successfully integrating them within the business.
  • An understanding of regulatory programs such as NERC-CIP, CFATS, and MTSA and the application of regulatory items within a business environment.
  • Experience in oil and gas or industrial/critical infrastructure security, preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience working in and managing an executive protection program.

  • Excellent knowledge and use of Microsoft software such as Word, Excel and ability to communicate using Teams or messaging systems.

Working Conditions:

  • This role will reside in our Princeton offices with an expectation of approximately 35% to 50% travel.
  • The primary work will be performed with our Generation fleet and requires the ability to be outdoors in environments that often experience adverse weather conditions (heat, dust, rain, wind, snow, etc.) Some of the work may be time sensitive where the person in this role may be exposed to adverse weather environments.
  • This role may require work after normal working hours, at night, on weekends or holidays. Ability to travel extensively on short notice is required.
  • Employee is required to respond by telephone, email, text/messaging or in person during on-duty and off-duty hours.

The base salary range for this position is: $89,520 - $147,720* *The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition the position may be eligible to participate in the benefits program which include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending accounts.
