Role: Reporting Analyst

Duration: 6 months contract to hire

Location:
Tempe, AZ or Chicago, IL (Onsite 3 days a week)

Role Overview:


The ideal candidate will be a hands-on Reporting Analyst or BI Developer who can design, build, and present complex reporting solutions in a fast-paced, highly visible environment. They should be passionate about data architecture, modeling, and Azure-based reporting, with strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate insights clearly to senior stakeholders.

Day to Day

Client is seeking an experienced Reporting Analyst with over 5 years of expertise in Power BI, Power Apps, and SharePoint. This role involves collaborating directly with the heads of Enterprise Critical Vendor Management to handle all reporting and analytics for First Line of Defense (FLoD), Second Line of Defense (SLoD), and various business units. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust reporting solutions to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.


  • Partner with leadership across Enterprise Critical Vendor Management (FLoD/SLoD) to develop and maintain robust reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain data models, semantic models, and platform integrations (recently migrated from Incorta to Microsoft Azure).
  • Create and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports supporting vendor management, compliance, and risk analytics.
  • Support cloud-based data architecture and ensure smooth integration across Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Utilize SQL and Power BI for advanced data extraction, modeling, and visualization.
  • Collaborate with internal BI, data, and compliance teams to standardize data definitions and reporting frameworks.
  • Deliver reporting solutions that are scalable, automated, and aligned with governance standards.
  • Present findings and recommendations confidently to technical and non-technical audiences.



Must Have

  • 5+ years of experience as a Reporting Analyst or BI Developer ideally within finance, compliance, or enterprise operations.
  • Strong Microsoft Azure SQL reporting exposure (Azure Data Models, Fabric, Data Lake, Synapse, etc.)
  • Knowledge of data architecture and semantic modeling.
  • Proven expertise in Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and building complex reports.
  • Experience with Power Apps for creating user-friendly applications and workflows.
  • Strong SharePoint skills for managing sites, lists, and document libraries.


  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis.
  • Familiarity with Power Automate for workflow automation.
  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.


  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.



Pluses

  • Experience working within risk and compliance reporting specifically
  • Familiarity with cloud migrations (especially incorta to Azure transitions)
  • Certifications in Power BI or Microsoft Power Platform.
