Engineering Technician, Go Test Systems Validation, Vehicle Software

Tesla's SysVal Go Test team develops & validates the firmware for all features/changes to our underlying vehicle subsystems. Providing the highest quality user experience requires hands-on testing of our products as well as troubleshooting both common use and edge case issues the customer may experience. This group of technicians is the last line of defense before our software releases hit the global fleet - they directly play a role in delivering an awesome impression for Tesla owners & Robotaxi riders.If you have strong automotive knowledge and a passion for hands-on vehicle testing, this role is for you.

• Test prototype firmware across varying existing and new vehicle platforms
• Perform hands-on manual validation and end-to-end in-vehicle testing
• Troubleshoot vehicle systems firmware issues using automotive and diagnostic approaches
• Precisely document test cases, improvements, and troubleshooting steps in detail

• Strong QA and testing philosophy
• Strong problem solving skills
• Familiar with issue tracking software (i.e., JIRA)
• Detail oriented, able to follow step-by-step instructions precisely
• Proficiency in deconstructing and analyzing firmware capabilities from a customer's perspective to identify potential vulnerabilities
