The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

Job Description

The quality assurance analyst (QA analyst) requires strong attention to detail, solid critical thinking skills, a strong background in Military and Veteran Education Benefits, solid communication skills and collaborative teamwork skills. This work includes facilitating established QA processes, monitoring the completion of QA action items.

A successful candidate must have the ability to work independently and be self-motivated. The QA analyst works closely with internal and external stakeholders, researching and reviewing processes for accuracy and quality control. In addition, the QA analyst collaborates with the Department of the Veteran Affairs, Department of Defense (DOD), and other authorized representatives within military entities to ensure compliance is satisfied. The QA Analyst may be responsible for the success of several simultaneous projects, assessing risk, reporting progress, and communicating effectively with colleagues, management, and stakeholders in an effort to promote collaboration and accountability.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Tracks the QA process through monitoring team progress

  • Acts as a compliance officer for the team

  • Manages internal and external audits and risk-based surveys

  • Mentors and develops colleagues on team involving risk-based control as needed

  • Communicates step-by-step QA requirements in accordance to WGU's policy, including providing updates and support to the team

  • Acts as the point of contact for, supervisors and colleagues, sharing feedback during QA process, providing training and support as needed

  • Manages the Military Support Queue for review, auditing, distribution, and triaging,

  • Assist in resolving cases and certification of attendance as needed

  • Maintains a record of QA feedback history, including actions taken and resolutions, in an accessible database

  • Knowledge of the Military and Veteran Benefit procedures and policies and the VA Operating Systems

  • Cultivates the following Essential skills: professionalism, quality control, adaptability, and a positive attitude.

  • Ensures quality standards and WGU's vision and mission are reflected in all aspects of the student experience

  • Develops and maintains a collaborative relationship with all appropriate internal and external colleagues and stakeholders involved in the QA process

  • Trains and assists SMEs with the processes and tasks associated with quality evaluation

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of related experience with Military Education benefits, leadership experience.

Department Specific Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required remove this line

  • 1-3 years' experience in process or workflow management, or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1yearofexperience in quality assurance preferred

  • Experience inMilitary Education benefits preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Position & Application Details
