The Arizona Student Unions is looking for a Dining Services Attendant, Sr. This position is responsible for various duties in the preparation and service of food, providing quality customer service to students, faculty, staff, and guests. Must be able to work nights, holidays, weekends and days. | Duties & Responsibilities |
- Greets and serves guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Prepares guests orders in a timely and accurate manner while ensuring quality and consistency.
- Ensures all areas are staffed, delegates job assignments. Assesses staffing shortages/overages while on shift and adjusts as necessary. Fill any position as required due to staffing shortages. Fills in for employees who may be on breaks.
- Trains employees in their job duties and monitors performance.
- Ensures unit is stocked, clean and equipped to meet the needs of the business.
- Openly communicates with staff and supervisors.
- Completes product orders by deadlines as required from internal or external vendors.
- Follows proper food safety guidelines and allergen awareness.
- Follows franchise standards and procedures.
- Ensures cashiers are ringing up orders accurately and accepting correct payment.
- Completes product orders by deadlines as required from internal or external vendors.
- Assists with weekly inventory - Completes daily shift report, waste and temp logs.
- May perform forecasting, and location costs summary using Food Pro.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of food service operations, including sanitation standards and food preparation.
- Knowledge of and actively supports labor cost and food cost budgets.
- Knowledge of food service equipment, such as steamers, slicers, and fryers.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work, days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift/move/transport up to a maximum of 50 lbs.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
- Five years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
