The OR Surgery Scheduler Senior serves as the lead OR Surgery scheduler responsible for managing the schedules of surgeries and procedures for the Perioperative Surgical Services Operating Room and acts as liaison between physicians and staff to ensure accuracy. As team lead, this position coordinates, assigns and guides the work activities of other OR Surgery Schedulers. This position also monitors work schedules, maintains department scheduling guidelines and templates as well as trains and mentors new staff.

Experience REQUIRED: 5-7 year of experience in Contact (Call) Center, Medical Office, Hospital or Scheduling Role dealing with patients. Customer Service experience required
Experience PREFERRED: Seven years of experience is preferred. Unit secretary experience on surgical or medical floor acceptable; revenue cycle/ scheduling in a surgical/medical office experience or Level 1 Trauma Center a plus
Education/training REQUIRED: High School diploma or equivalent
Education/training PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree in business, health care management or related degree.
