You will manage the IT budget, drive transparency on IT costs, analyze variances, and measure the impact of IT investments to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. To succeed as a Sr. Finance Advisor-FP&A, you must have:

  • 10+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or related fields, with hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Suite, SAP, Power BI, and cost-benefit analysis (ROI, TCO); S4 Hana and IT Procure-to-Pay experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated adaptability, problem-solving, and initiative in fast-paced, dynamic environments, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and influence skills, with the ability to convey financial information to stakeholders of varying financial expertise and translate end-user needs into actionable outcomes.
  • Manufacturing or refinery experience preferred; ability to maintain composure under pressure, support cross-functional finance operations, and comply with safety requirements, including qualification for a TWIC card.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze IT spend, assess financial impact of investments, and provide actionable recommendations that align with organizational objectives.

 

As a Sr. Finance Advisor-FP&A, you will:

  • Provide dedicated financial support to the IT Department, including budget management, variance analysis, and business planning.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership and PMO to track project budgets, evaluate ROI/TCO, and support financial decision-making for technology investments.
  • Ensure financial governance, risk management, and internal controls are executed in alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor IT expenditures, prepare insightful reports, and provide transparency on spending patterns to support business objectives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Tax, and Supply Chain, to identify process improvements, cost-saving opportunities, and best practices.

PEMEX Deer Park is a highly complex refinery located 18 miles east of Houston in Deer Park, TX. It is part of the Pemex group, a fully integrated oil company in the Americas that operates across the entire value chain: exploration, production, industrial processing/refining, logistics, and marketing. The refinery’s rated capacity is 340,000 barrels per day and has the feed flexibility to process multiple grades of crude oil, producing high-quality transportation fuels the world needs. The Pemex site is co-located with other 3rd-party chemical facilities, enabling further integration and optimization of the refinery and its products.
