Currently recruiting a Psychologist to provide psychotherapeutic services to Government civilian and military members, and their spouses at Ft. Meade, Maryland for the purposes of providing psychological treatment and consultation. The Psychologist is a full-time position, with hours on M - F, between 6 AM and 6 PM.

DUTIES OF THE PSYCHOLOGIST:

The Psychologist, shall provide clinical assessment of Agency employees, assignees, and their spouses, to include:
  • Gathering and/or reviewing intake data and other pertinent information,
  • Conducting a clinical interview/assessment, including a thorough risk assessment
  • Determining diagnosis based on the criteria outlined in the latest version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM),
  • Documenting all case contacts in SOAP format within five (5) working days,
  • Developing a treatment plan
  • Documenting clinical assessments.

The Psychologist shall provide brief therapy and/or referral to appropriate community resource, to include:
  • Short term therapeutic interventions (10 or fewer sessions),
  • When indicated, referral to outside mental health providers, support groups, social services agencies,
  • Follow guidelines for child/vulnerable adult abuse reporting,
  • Follow-ups with client and referral sources to ensure that needs are met
  • Ensure timely documentation of therapy and/or referral services within five (5) working days and case closing within ninety (90) days of last encounter.

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE PSYCHOLOGIST:
  • Three (3) year experience in mental health counseling or assessment;
  • Three (3) years'experience in the following:
    • Providing consultation on mental health related matters;
    • Conducting clinical interviews/assessments;
    • Determining diagnosis based on criteria outlined in latest version of the DSM;
    • Developing treatment plans;or
    • Conducting therapeutic interventions
  • Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology;and,
  • A current, unrestricted license to practice mental health treatment and/or consultation from any U.S. Jurisdiction with no pending adverse actions (e.G. Suspensions, letters of counseling, restrictions to practice only with supervision, revocations) before any licensing board of hospital credentials committee.
