POSITION SUMMARYThe Director, AutoForce Regional Sales (Car Dealer) will manage the overall growth and development of sales and profits for AutoForce Division to meet and exceed revenue and profitability goals as defined by the strategic plan and annual budget. Manage and develop the AutoForce sales team.
This position will support the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast region and must reside within this footprint with the ability to travel.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement sales plan to meet and exceed profitability goals as defined by the strategic plan, annual sales budget, and desired levels of market penetration for overall volume, margin, and product line.
- Maintain a current understanding of the Car Dealer channel, customers, and competitive market position
- Evaluate results of sales department in relation to established goals. Monitor sales performance through sales report analysis
- Increase tire penetration with customer base
- Establish new sales approaches, policies, strategies, and procedures to achieve division goals
- Utilize information technology to analyze, capture, and respond in a timely manner to sales activity, trends, and changes in each market
- Develop and evaluate existing and potential customer base to identify new business and/or lost business
- Grow the business by developing new accounts and growing existing accounts
- Utilize and uphold use of marketing and promotional plans to expand sales
- Resolve customer complaints regarding services, products or personnel, or provide assistance to staff in the resolution of complaints or problems
- Research the multi-state market territories; shop competition in territories to identify potential business
- Provide marketing and promotional designs to expand sales
- Visit customer locations to sell and deliver products and services, establish relationships, acquire new business, solve problems, and support Automotive Business Consultants and Regional Sales Managers
- Collaborate and develop budget with the AutoForce management team
- Participate in AutoForce Strategic Planning sessions

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience
- 7 - 9 years of sales experience, including strategy development, advertising, and promotions
- Proven previous record of successful sales management experience
- Positive outlook, persistent, collaborative, able to lead and empower sales representatives
- Strong knowledge and application of sales management best practices
- Strong analytical skills including a good understanding of the budgeting process, cost control, price and profit dynamics, profit margin retention strategies, and statistics
- Demonstrated ability to build positive business relationships with variety of people
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Highly organized and motivated, ethical, and trustworthy
- Good decision maker who is well organized, can prioritize and plan ahead
- Proven leader with high professional ethics and unquestionable integrity
- Ability to effectively communicate the marketing and sales plans to associates
- Active listener with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
