Role description

Job Title: Scrum Master

Experience: 8+ Years
Location: Trivandrum | Kochi | Chennai


About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead end-to-end business solutions and collaborate with one of the leading financial services organizations in the US and Canada. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving Agile adoption, enabling high-performing teams, and ensuring successful delivery of products that delight customers.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Guide teams and the organization in the effective use of Agile/Scrum principles and practices.



  • Foster self-organization and empower teams to fill intentional gaps in Agile/Scrum/SAFe frameworks.



  • Assess and elevate Scrum maturity across teams and the organization, ensuring sustainable improvement.



  • Identify and remove impediments, facilitating a smooth workflow.



  • Build a safe, trusting environment where open communication and problem-solving thrive.



  • Facilitate discussions, decision-making, and conflict resolution.



  • Improve internal and external communication, ensuring transparency and information flow.



  • Support and mentor Product Owners in grooming and maintaining product backlogs.



  • Practice servant leadership to support and guide teams effectively.




Required Skills & Experience:


  • 8+ years of total IT experience with at least 1+ years as a Scrum Master for software development teams practicing Scrum principles and theory.



  • Strong knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, and continuous improvement.



  • Familiarity with various Scrum patterns and techniques (e.g., Burndown charts, Retrospective formats, bug handling methods).



  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.




Preferred Skills & Experience:


  • 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile development environment.



  • Working knowledge of Agile frameworks such as XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, or SAFe.



  • Experience with Agile practices like User Stories, ATDD, TDD, CI/CD, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, and Agile Games.



  • Hands-on understanding of technologies used by the development teams.



  • Proven experience applying multiple Agile/Scrum techniques for continuous improvement.
