Responsibilities:

The Registrar is responsible for creating and maintaining patient accounts within the Hospital Information System. This role serves as a key gatekeeper for accurate demographic information by verifying and validating details provided by patients at the time of service. The Registrar ensures that medical record numbers are not duplicated, supporting patient safety and data integrity. Additionally, this position delivers exceptional customer service while interacting with physicians, hospital departments, patients, and their families.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Less than one year experience in clerical office setting or in healthcare setting.
  • One to two years customer service experience.
  • Basic computer keyboard experience and ten key required.
  • Must be able to work cooperatively with the public as well as all levels of staff and management in the organization.
  • Requires exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Must pass EPIC competency for Registration at completion of Epic Clerical Training class.
