Job Description

We are looking for a commercially aware and customer-focused Content Marketing Manager to join our lively and enthusiastic marketing team!

Overall Role Summary

  • The 'MM - Content' owns the development of a key strategic subject area and/or capability within the business (including tactical implementation and delivery). The primary responsibility is to support revenue generation through the delivery of high quality, effective and brand aligned copy and content.
  • By maintaining a high degree of expertise and specialist knowledge in their area, they ensure that agreed objectives and targets are met. This includes providing guidance, training and mentoring to others, setting out best practice, and maintaining a solid knowledge of new technologies, technical developments and the deployment of highly effective copy and content.
  • The role is globally focused, working with management teams to develop the organization's capability in their specialist area and ensuring that the best practice they set, and advocate is globally consistent.
  • The role sits with the Digital Delivery, Societies and Propositions Group and has a global remit, covering all regions.

What you'll be doing:

  • Be an acknowledged subject matter expert for digital content creation and deployment across T&F marketing and across the wider T&F group. Content creation activities including
  • Creation and curation of trusted digital content
  • Use of web traffic analysis and keyword research
  • Ensuring all content creation activities are within brand guidelines
  • Thought leadership in the appropriate, legal, safe and effective use of AI techniques and tools
  • Collaborate with Regional teams, SOE team, Insight team, Workflow Managers and others to ensure content & copy are fully SEO optimised and drive best possible conversions
  • Collaborate with the web trading, Insight team and others, to support optimisation of customer journeys
  • Work with Insight teams to understand, manage and develop process to measure effectiveness of content, and proactively improve through ongoing feedback loops.
  • Close adherence to briefing process (SLA and governance) for all work into the Digital Delivery, Merchandising and CRM groups.
  • Support the management of all workflows in line with ROI goals and brand guidelines.
  • Ensure constant development orientation for team in with use of latest tools and techniques - specifically including AI techniques, tools, processes and thinking.

General Accountabilities:

  • Takes full ownership and accountability for delivery of key activitiesand projects which enable growthincapability in their area
  • Works to measurable KPIs for their area,measuring andreportingon progress linking to the achievement of organizational objectives. Takes course correction actions where appropriate to ensureagreed objectives and targetscan be met.
  • Providesguidance, training and mentoring to more juniormarketing department colleagues, acting as mentor and role model.
  • Ensure that colleagues are kept up-to-date and engaged with activities and the on-going results, and adapt activities in line with performance and evidence
  • Builds effective relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders, utilising networks to inform development and capabilities.
  • Contributes to driving a culture of high-performance by demonstrating how to effectively develop and grow the capability in their area of expertise.
  • Fully accountable for managing own learning, taking responsibility to identify and develop skills gaps.Ensures channel knowledge is always current, acting as a 'trend-spotter' within the department.

People management accountabilities (where applicable)

  • Lead, performance manage and develop direct reports, fostering a culture of high-level performance, motivation, quality, efficiency and innovation in the team and the larger marketing organization helping to encourage new ideas and constructive feedback
Qualifications

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in content marketing campaign delivery
  • Understanding and enthusiasm for SEO best practice.
  • Evidence-based approach to activities, with the skills to use data to inform all areas of work.
  • Excellent project management, copywriting and proofing skills with an eye for digital design.
  • Knowledge and ability with IT systems including core MS Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), WordPress, email creation platforms and/or other bespoke IT systems.
  • A demonstrable awareness of key commercial issues such as profitability, growth, strategy evaluation and selection, and business development.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and developing a highly engaged team to high performance

  • In-Person Time:We believe that great things happen when people connect face-to-face. That's why we work in-person with each other, or with customers and partners, three days a week or more (approximately 60% of work time). When you're not spending time together in one of our offices or other workplaces - like at conference - you get the flexibility and support to work from home or remotely. The successful candidate will be able to utilise our balanced working model. We ask that candidates live within acommutable distance of our office in Philadelphia or Boca Raton to ensure that as a balanced worker they can make it onsite3 days per week.

Interview process:

Once you have submitted your application, we may get in touch with you for an initial screening conversation or ask you to complete a short video interview to enable us to better understand your skills, experience, and motivation. Following this, you will be invited to attend a competency-based interview, either virtually or in person. Typically, we'd then finish the interview process with a final, 2nd stage interview before extending an offer to the successful applicant.
