About the Position:

People Inc. is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to join our Tech vertical. You will manage daily proposal work, partnering with sales and support teams to play an integral role in the success of our business. As the quarterback to our pitch process, you understand advertisers' business goals, are able to digest and apply audience insights to business problems and ultimately know the most effective People Inc. product solutions to help achieve those goals. As a team contributor, you will support the development process for People Inc. brands and play a proactive role in monetizing our brands' key initiatives with advertising partners. This position reports into the Marketing Director for the Tech vertical.

Hybrid 3x a week- New York, NY

In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

About The Positions Contributions:

  • Sales & Marketing Partnership: Develop strong relationships with the Sales, Account Strategy, Research and Production teams, becoming the expert on brand-driven opportunities that can support their business; provide support on client calls, as needed

  • Proposal Work: Partner closely with Sales, Research, Account Strategy & Design to ensure proposals are delivered on time and clearly communicate our value proposition; provide support on sales calls, as needed; demonstrate a foundational understanding of digital media planning and packaging.

  • Storytelling: Bring ideas to life through well-written and visually-appealing proposals and pitch decks that represent our brands, capabilities, and ideas flawlessly; bring seemingly turn-key ad product offerings to life and ensure tactics align with client's marketplace objectives

  • Data Analysis: Comfortable using audience insights and past campaign performance to inform partnership strategies and recommendations in partnership with sales

  • Production Expertise: Work closely with Digital Production to ensure alignment from ideation through execution; possess a strong understanding of ad products offerings, executional nuances and fully understand production cost implications

  • Brand Go-To-Market Material: Create marketing materials that communicate our brands' unique value proposition to advertising clients across all verticals

  • Brand & Editorial Communication: Lead internal conversations with Dotdash Meredith editorial teams to develop, package and communicate high-value opportunities to the Dotdash Meredith sales team

  • Proactive Ideation: Support the Beauty & Style team in crafting new tentpoles, franchises, and cross-portfolio opportunities grounded in the DNA of our brands

  • Rollout New Opportunities: Contribute to the rollout new brand-driven materials to Sales and Marketing teams across Dotdash Meredith

The Role's Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Experience:

  • 4-5 years relevant experience at a digital publisher, with a focus in pre-sales marketing; background in Brand Marketing a plus

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:

  • Excellent creative writing and storytelling skills with an ability to execute visually impactful presentations (fluent in Keynote and Powerpoint)

  • You're an excellent communicator, who remains poised under pressure and can tailor messages for different audiences

  • You have an understanding of publishing landscape, brands, products, media strategy and trends

  • You are a true self-starter - provide proactive ideas, understand organizational goals, and move initiatives forward

  • You are comfortable working in a fast paced environment

Pay Range

Salary: New York: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
