Job Description Summary
The Insights and Decision Science (IDS) team at Novartis enables smarter, data-driven decision-making by lever-aging advanced analytics and process optimization. The Manager, Integrated Field Insights & Analytics (FIA) will contribute to operational excellence, process engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives, supporting the Director, Field Insights & Analytics - X Portfolio and leadership team in driving efficiency and innovation across multiple therapeutic areas (TAs). This role focuses on enabling high-quality insights and streamlined operations rather than direct ownership of large-scale project delivery.

This position will be located at the East Hanover, NJ site and will not have the ability to be located remotely. This position will require 10% travel as defined by the business (domestic and/ or international).

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Support Operational Excellence & Process Engineering
  • Assist in the design and optimization of processes that enhance efficiency and scalability across Field Insights & Analytics squads and cross-functional teams.
  • Assist in identifying process gaps and implementing improvements using Agile, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Maintain process documentation and best practices to ensure consistency and compliance.
Enable Portfolio Field Analytics
  • Support development and deployment of field analytics projects in collaboration with Insights & Decision Science Field Insights & Analytics pillars.
  • Assist in portfolio GTM and field capability development initiatives
  • Help maintain data governance standards and ensure integrity across analytics platforms.

Drive Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for operational enhancements and innovation.
  • Facilitate improvement workshops and contribute to root cause analyses.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and adoption of continuous improvement practices within the team
Strategic & Stakeholder Support
  • Assist the Director, Field Insights & Analytics - X Portfolio and leadership team in aligning operational priorities with IDS objectives.
  • Contribute to stakeholder communication plans and ensure clarity of roles and expectations.
  • Provide analytical and operational support for Therapeutic Area-specific initiatives.
  • Maintain documentation integrity across FIA repositories (SharePoint, Smart Sheets, JIRA).

Essential Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Data Analytics, Engineering or related field; Master's preferred

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in process engineering, operational excellence, analytics, or operations within pharma or healthcare; Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in data science and AI agents.
  • Demonstrated expertise in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) and data analytics.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively in a support capacity.
  • Proficiency in process mapping and analytics tools.
Desirable Requirements:
  • Experience in field insights, analytics, or commercial operations.
  • Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or data science are a plus.

The salary for this position is expected to range between $119,700.00 and $222,300.00 per year.

The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.

Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.

Salary Range

$126,000.00 - $234,000.00
