Shift 1 (United States of America) Coperion is currently seeking a Welder to support our location in Whitewater, WI. There is a lot of room for growth in other disciplines if desired! We have a 5S environment, a very clean production floor and great people to work with! Schedule: 1st shift Monday-Thursday 6am-3pm & Friday 6am - Noon Sign-On Bonus: $1,500 Responsibilities: Performs welding and/or fitting, set-up, and layout of raw and formed metal in the creation of metal products Basic ability to read prints, tolerances, and job requirements Cleans and/or grinds welds Performs general basic maintenance on equipment and workstation ensuring a clean, safe and orderly work environment Checks of quality of welds, repairing as needed Performs basic use of grinders, bevellers, torches, and other standard welding equipment Support our lean manufacturing process with 5S Adhere to ISO 9001 company standards, work instructions and procedures Required Education/Experience/Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent Welding Certificate or 3 or more years' welding experience Prior TIG Welding required Mechanical aptitude Ability to multitask Basic computer knowledge preferred Dependability a must Blueprint and Schematic Reading required #LI-AW1 #LI-ONSITE Who we are: Coperion (www.coperion.com) is a global industry and technology leader in compounding and extrusion systems, size reduction, washing, separating, drying, agglomeration, feeding, weighing, material handling and pneumatic conveying systems, as well as milling, mixing, thermal processing, dust collection and other services.
