Evening Supervisor - Hope Residence

Location: The Lutheran Home: Hope Residence

Setting: 52-bed Intermediate Care Facility for adults with developmental disabilities

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 4:00pm-9:00pm


About Us

Hope Residence provides compassionate, person-centered care for adults with developmental disabilities. We are seeking a supportive and proactive Evening Supervisor to oversee our caregiving staff during the second shift and ensure a positive, high-quality environment for residents and team members.


Position Summary

The Evening Supervisor plays a key role in supporting caregivers, promoting resident well-being, and ensuring smooth evening operations. This position observes staff interactions, assists with training, provides administrative support, and serves as a resource for new team members.


Responsibilities


  • Supervise and support evening caregiving staff



  • Observe staff performance, resident interactions, and mealtime routines



  • Provide coaching and training as needed



  • Support and check in with new DSPs; answer questions and assist with onboarding



  • Ensure implementation of resident programs and cares



  • Complete filing tasks (programmatic & financial documents)



  • Email evening shift reports to management team



  • Provide administrative assistance to managers, DON, and Administrator



  • Serve as a positive role model and advocate for resident rights




Qualifications


  • 2 years of management experience and 2 years caregiving experience preferred



  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities strongly preferred



  • Valid driver's license required



  • Ability to assist residents with mobility needs (lift up to 20 lbs)



  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills



  • Ability to work independently and build a supportive team environment
