The IT Support Analyst III serves as a key member of the Enterprise Support team, providing advanced technical expertise to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology services that support the University's teaching, research, and administrative mission. This position delivers high-level technical assistance to end-users, supports enterprise systems, and collaborates with IT partners across campus to implement and maintain institutional technology solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced technical support to faculty, staff, and designated campus colleagues, diagnosing and resolving complex hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, ensuring systems remain current, secure, and optimized.
  • Manage software deployment, updates, and licensing; troubleshoot software-related issues.
  • Administer and support enterprise systems, including Microsoft 365, Active Directory organizational units (OUs), and user management through different tools.
  • Coordinate the configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of applications and system integrations.
  • Perform hardware maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and component replacements as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inventory, service requests, incidents, and resolutions.
  • Train and guide faculty, staff, and DCCs in the effective and secure use of University technology resources.
  • Collaborate with IT teams on institution-wide initiatives, such as system upgrades, deployments, and new technology rollouts.
  • Act as a mentor to fellow teammates in the development of their technical and customer service skills. Collaborate with support to refer clients to other University resources and train them on the proper use of those resources.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend solutions that enhance the University's IT environment.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to prioritize multiple, competing tasks while meeting deadlines in a fast paced service.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and endpoint management tools.
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent customer service and effective communication.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing IT support in a higher education or enterprise environment.
  • Experience supporting hardware and software in a mixed Windows and macOS environment.

As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
