The Opportunity

Adobe is looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join a fast-moving team focused on rapidly prototyping new product ideas and discovering market fit. This team operates at the intersection of data, visualization, and AI, building interactive experiences that help users understand and act on insights in new ways.

You'll work across the stack to design and build intelligent data visualization tools powered by large language models (LLMs) and other emerging technologies. You'll collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and product strategists to translate raw data into intuitive, visual, and intelligent experiences - and iterate rapidly to bring concepts to life.

What You'll Do
  • Design, build, and deploy full-stack prototypes and data visualization experiences that explore new product directions.
  • Integrate LLMs and generative AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Vertex AI) to power intelligent visual analytics and data exploration features.
  • Develop modern, interactive front-end visualizations using frameworks like React, D3, Vega/Vega-Lite, or similar.
  • Build and maintain robust back-end services and APIs to process, transform, and serve analytical data efficiently.
  • Collaborate with designers, researchers, and PMs to rapidly iterate from concept to prototype to production-quality implementation.
  • Ensure data visualization performance, scalability, and accessibility across browsers and devices.
  • Establish strong engineering practices for testing, monitoring, and continuous integration/deployment, even in fast-moving prototype environments.
  • Stay current with evolving technologies in AI, visualization, and data engineering, identifying opportunities to apply them to new product experiences.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience developing full-stack web applications.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
  • Strong proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node.js (or comparable frameworks).
  • Deep understanding of data visualization principles and experience building interactive visuals using D3, Vega/Vega-Lite, Chart.js, or similar libraries.
  • Experience integrating LLMs or AI APIs into production applications.
  • Strong skills in data manipulation, transformation, and visualization.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills; comfortable working across the stack.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with prompt engineering, vector databases, or custom AI-driven data exploration tools.
  • Background in rapid prototyping or startup-style product development cycles.
  • Passion for data visualization and data storytelling.
  • Familiarity with data visualization libraries such as Vega, Vega-Lite, and React Spectrum Charts.
