  • At least 5 years of experience working at or performing design work for a Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) is preferred
  • Experience designing mechanical or electrical tooling, robotic, or control systems is preferred

Your Opportunity

This full-time role is about making an impact on people's lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a BWR Robotics Engineer in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the NDE Solutions Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. You will work with the Nondestructive Examinations (NDE) Engineering organization, which designs tooling and complex robotic systems to perform inspections of nuclear plants around the world! Our focus is on visual, ultrasonic, and eddy current exams. This role is a unique opportunity for someone who likes the idea of seeing lots of complex robotic systems get built and used every year! For this position we are seeking someone with experience in Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) plant design, operations, maintenance, or inspections. This person will be the BWR lead for our engineering organization, help mentor other employees in BWR plant knowledge, perform and review design work for tooling that will be used for inspections of BWRs, support new proposals for BWR inspection work, and assist on-site with performance of BWR inspection work at plants around the US. This position requires up to 25% travel. Together we will enable clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy to meet the global ambition for a better tomorrow.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $97,000 - $131,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
