Temple University's General Accounting Department is searching for a Staff Accountant II!

Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000

A variety of important factors are reviewed by HR when considering salary, including job duties, the applicant's education and experience, all relevant internal equity considerations, department budget, and funding source.

Position Summary
The Staff Accountant II is essential in running daily operations for and implementing accounting procedures for the Controller's Office. They perform accounting reconciliations and provide support for the entire Controller's Office team. They provide support for the monthly, quarterly, and yearly closes, as well as help with providing information for the yearly audit.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Details

Required Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
* Two or more years of related accounting experience
* Experience with entry- to mid-level general ledger accounting reconciliations
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Preferred Education and Experience
* Microsoft Teams experience
* Banner or similar ERP experience

Required Skills and Abilities
* Ability to prepare reports and presentations for special projects
* Understanding of monthly, quarterly, and yearly closes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and general account management
* Ability to work independently and collaborate as a team
* Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications including spreadsheets
* Ability to multi-task and learn new skills
* Excellent oral and written communication skills along with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of individuals
* Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
* Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Ability to work nights and/or weekends, if necessary

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote). The duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
