Job Title Content Manager, Successful Farming Custom SolutionsJob Description About The Position | Major goals and objectives and location requirements The Content Manager is responsible for planning and developing content across platforms for a variety of Successful Farming Custom Solutions clients, primarily the National FFA Organization, and manages projects to completion. Day-to-day content activities for FFA include assigning and editing articles for FFA New Horizons magazine, contributing to art/design discussions, overseeing photo and video productions, and assigning and editing a significant volume of monthly digital content. The Content Manager quickly gains in-depth knowledge and understanding of the clients' branding, goals, and communications objectives, and must be a strong writer and editor who is able to interact effectively with clients on a routine basis. Hybrid 3x a week- (Des Moines, IA) In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week. Essential Job Functions Weight % Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results 40% Oversees content planning and development for FFA New Horizons and additional FFA content projects, and works with internal design and production teams to ensure creative excellence that exceeds FFA expectations. 30% Serves as the day-to-day client contact and works with FFA staff to ensure all content is on-brand and meets the National FFA Organization's strategy and objectives to serve its audiences. 20% Manages multi-platform content programs for additional Successful Farming Custom Solutions clients and works to ensure creative excellence that exceeds client expectations. 10% Oversees freelance budgets, editorial calendars, and production schedules that ensure on-time and on-budget delivery. All other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience. Experience: Minimum of four years' related experience in magazine/communications, with recent content leadership experience. FFA experience is strongly preferred. Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience creating editorial strategy and content across all media platforms: experience with magazines, digital, social, and video helpful. Must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work proactively with clients. Knowledge of editorial computer systems.
