The Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution and strategic direction of engine line production. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of products while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across the manufacturing floor. The Manager works closely with the Site Leader to lead the operations in achieving the overall operational goals and objectives of the business to include safety, quality, on-time delivery, production output, cost, and engineering.


Key responsibilities:




  • Promote operational excellence through the utilization of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.



  • Communicate with internal and external customers to understand delivery requirements and set production and shipping schedules to meet these requirements.



  • Lead the operation in determining manpower and equipment requirements.



  • Identify capital projects and preparing capital justification requests.



  • Support business development to increase revenue, win new business from existing customers, and win new customers.



  • Ensure compliance with customer/FAA requirements and company policies and procedures.



  • Use Management Operating System tools to monitor productivity, quality and cost-effective work.



  • Lead, coach, and develop staff to ensure the necessary talent to meet the demands of the business today as well as growing talent to meet the exciting growth challenges of the future.



  • Maintain and promote 5S standards in the work area



  • Provide a leadership role model in terms of professional behaviors and personal accountability.



  • Understand and implement HR policies set forth by the unit or corporate HR policies.



  • Collaborate with Finance and Demand Management to make ensure inventory accuracy in WIP and Finished Goods.




Education & Experience:




  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical field. Advanced degree in technical field or business desired.



  • Minimum of 8 years managing aerospace industry operations, including experience with AS9100 and FAA repair station regulations. Must have hands-on experience in turbine engine maintenance, repair, testing, and overhaul.



  • Proven track record successfully managing operations to achieve bottom line profitability through sustainable operational excellence to include lean manufacturing, process management, systems maximization and the development of a strong team.



  • Able to effectively build and manage relationships in an industry where competition is strong, and results are achieved through operational and quality excellence.



  • Experience managing a business from the top to the bottom lines is required.



  • Experience in operations, systems management, quality, customer service, financial management, people management and development.



  • Experience leading, and building highly effective, results oriented, cross-functional teams.



  • Demonstrated hands-on engagement with team members at all levels of the organization is an asset.
