The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Clinical Research Nurse provides medical and nursing support for research studies conducted at the Center for Intergenerational Psychiatry involving infants and young participants. The incumbent ensures participant safety during MRI research appointments, conducts health screenings, assists with biological sample collection, and maintains accurate clinical documentation. Working under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the nurse collaborates with research staff to uphold study protocols, regulatory standards, and institutional policies governing human subjects research.

Responsibilities



  • Provide medical and nursing support during infant MRI visits, including pre-scan screening, monitoring, and post-scan evaluation to ensure participant safety.
  • Coordinate with investigators and staff to prepare for research visits, ensuring all medical and safety requirements are met.
  • Collect and document biological samples (e.g., saliva, blood, non-invasive specimens) in accordance with research and safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including nursing notes, adverse event reports, and data entries in approved systems.
  • Monitor and maintain medical supplies and equipment, ensuring readiness and compliance with safety standards.
  • Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, and four years of related experience


Preferred Qualifications



  • At least one year of pediatric/infant clinical experience.


Other Requirements



  • A valid registered nurse license.
  • BLS certified.
  • Must successfully complete all online system trainings requirements.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 15lbs.
