About the Role:

The Senior HR Generalist plays a pivotal role in supporting and advancing the human resources functions within a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for managing a broad range of HR activities including employee relations, compliance, talent acquisition, benefits, onboarding, payroll and performance management to ensure a productive and positive workplace. The role requires partnering closely with management and employees to address workforce needs, resolve issues, and implement HR initiatives that align with organizational goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5-8 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • 2-5 years of Payroll processing experience.
  • Proficient in use of social media for recruitment and company branding activities.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proven experience in employee relations, recruitment, and performance management.
  • Motivated self-starter, hands-on approach, and detail oriented.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR.
  • Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now HRIS data and modules.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead HR projects and change management initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment processes including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding to attract and retain top talent.
  • Process biweekly hourly payroll and semi-monthly salary payroll along with associated adjustments and special payrolls.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and maintain up-to-date HR policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and deliver training programs related to HR topics such as compliance, leadership development, and employee engagement.
  • Analyze HR metrics and prepare reports to inform leadership decisions and improve workforce planning and organizational effectiveness.

The Senior HR Generalist utilizes strong communication and interpersonal skills daily to effectively interact with employees at all levels and resolve workplace issues. Analytical skills are essential for interpreting HR metrics and compliance data to guide strategic decisions and improve processes. Recruitment and talent management skills are applied to attract and retain qualified candidates who fit the company culture and operational needs. Knowledge of employment laws ensures that all HR activities comply with legal requirements, minimizing risk for the organization.
