As a Facilities Associate I, you are a natural leader with a strong work ethic. Although you do not have much past experience in facilities consulting, you are able to quickly learn the ropes. You may, however, have experience in pre-construction surveys, photographing sites, and generating reports - which is what drew you to this field. You have great communication skills and are easily able to interact with your team and clients. Responsibilities

ECS is offering an exciting opportunity for a Building Enclosure Associate I to join our Midwest Facilities team in Cleveland, OH. In this role, you'll work on projects involving inspections, testing, assessments, and commissioning of building enclosures for existing structures. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality consulting solutions to a diverse range of facilities and clients.

  • Testing and consulting services for the built environment, property condition assessments, specialized testing, building enclosure consulting, forensic investigation analysis, and design of repairs to existing structures, among other facilities-related services
  • Exhibiting responsibility, organization, reliability, time management, and self-motivation
  • Performing field and laboratory testing
  • Assisting with preparation of reports, proposals, and projects
  • Assisting with projects as needed
  • Interacting with senior staff members on a variety of projects
  • Scheduling and oversight of facilities technicians
  • Promoting a safe workplace and proper use of PPE

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; B.Arch or M.Arch (NCARB) accredited by National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) or BS in Engineering, Building Science, or related degree from an ABET accredited college/university preferred
  • 0-2 years of relevant building facilities consulting experience required
  • In lieu of education, 4 years as ECS Facilities Staff Associate or equivalent combination of experience, certification, and education required. Experience with non-destructive testing preferred. Professional certifications (such as NRCA/IIBEC, AWCI Certified EIFS Inspector) preferred
