Description
Inspects, and negotiates the purchase of modification candidate aircraft and/or engines in coordination with other Cargo Aircraft Management (CAM) staff. Arrange and manage aircraft and/or engine modifications to prepare it for lease. Works with the aircraft operators to match customer needs with the full range of company capabilities. Identifies, inspects, and purchases candidate aircraft and/or engines in coordination with CAM technical staff; and manages aircraft cargo modification and/or engine preparation processes. Travels to inspect airframes and engines and negotiate purchases. Maintains up to date knowledge of the availability of potential feed-stock airframes and engines. Make contacts and form positive relationships with current owners. Develops and recommends current and future asset trading values to internal stakeholders, identifies transaction risk and mitigants, and negotiates transaction commercial terms. Works with legal, accounting, CAM, and ATSG management to develop proposals for potential new aircraft and engine purchases. Identifies and assists in procuring support equipment, components, aircraft furnishings, or parts needed to support customer's operations. Keeps management aware of potential changes in the overall aircraft and engine market. Required Job Skills Bachelor's Degree with 5-8 years of progressive experience in aircraft and engine acquisitions and trading. Familiarity with Airbus and Boeing aircraft, especially A321, A330, and B767 airframes. Must be familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of the various types to perform pre-purchase assessments. Most have familiarity with various heavy jet engines, especially those suitable for use on the above airframes. Must be able to draft and edit proposals for aircraft and engine purchases. Be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word. Must have proven industry contacts, be customer-oriented, highly ethical, and well regarded as a creative transaction business development professional. Familiar with relevant FAA, EASA, and IATA regulations. Understands and can interpret Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Supplemental Type Certificates, and Manufacturer Master Changes Position requires travel to inspect and negotiate the purchase of aircraft and engines worldwide. Preferred Job Skills FAA Airframe and Powerplant licenses would be beneficial. Education
