Staffmark is hiring a Maintenance Technician in San Diego, CA! This role is ideal for someone with strong electrical and mechanical skills who enjoys troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving production equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:40 PM

Responsibilities:



  • Lead and direct the daily activities of the maintenance technician team
  • Oversee projects, scheduling, and equipment maintenance plans
  • Implement and maintain technical and safety standards, including Cal-OSHA requirements
  • Start up and shut down powered equipment safely
  • Perform preventative maintenance and accurately record data in equipment logs
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical failures efficiently
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and reduce waste
  • Support and train operators on proper equipment operation and maintenance
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and assist with new equipment installation
  • Calibrate testing instruments and ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications



Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Strong electrical knowledge (24V-480V AC, single and 3-phase, DC systems, motor controls)
  • PLC programming experience (creating, editing, troubleshooting)
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues
