Salary Range: Up to $52,000.00 per year

Position Summary:
The Gastroenterology Section in the Temple University Lewis Katz School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated individual to assist with ongoing research projects which may include NIH studies, industry clinical trials, and investigator-initiated studies of gastrointestinal motility, gastrointestinal transit, and gastroparesis. In this capacity, this person will work closely with the principal investigator on projects which will involve assessing gastrointestinal motility such as gastric emptying scintigraphy, liquid nutrient drink testing, electrogastrography, and pyloric impedance planimetry. The applicant should be energetic, and willing to work with others on a variety of projects. Responsibilities include patient recruitment, screening, obtaining informed consent, and enrolling research subjects in clinical trials, scheduling study visits, coordinating and performing research-related tests, data collection, data entry and regulatory submissions (IRB). This position will play a critical part in the success of the clinical trials and must be able to work independently and within a team.

Required Education and Experience:
*Bachelors degree in a health science field plus two years' related research experience.
*An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities:
*Assist with conducting clinical trials and clinical research studies
*Primary contact for research subjects
*Manage data collection, data entry, and processing
*Performing clinical tests such as electrogastrography, liquid nutrient drink test
*Present project updates at clinical research meetings
*Day to day management of research project activities
*Register subjects in OnCore
*Perform research billing review when required
*IRB submissions
*Maintain regulatory paperwork and subject binders
*Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Abilities:
*Strong knowledge of computer programs, and computer spreadsheets & data analysis.
*Excellent written and oral communications skills
*Able to resolve problems/issues
*Detail oriented
*Knowledge of medical terminology
*Flexible in an ever-changing environment
*Proficient in standard computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
*Conduct oneself in a professional and courteous manner
