Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities: Utilize in-depth knowledge of testing best practices and defect management Participate in test case reviews and makes necessary updates Build and use test data required to accomplish execution of test cases Execute test cases, including manual and automated tests, and records test results Test new and existing features, debug code (units and integration) and report errors and failures Work collaboratively with the development team for defect triaging Execute all levels of testing (Functional, Integration, and Regression) Design, develop, execute automation scripts when needed Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies; provide timely solutions Apply quality principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle with the appropriate support and documentation Ensure that all the standards and process are being implemented within a projects Requirements: Extensive work experience in Hadoop components like Hive, Pig, Scoop Hive Strong hands-on experience in writing SQL queries and be able to understand PL/SQL code Autosys and Shell Scripting experience Agile Experience Working knowledge in Jira and Test Management tool like Octane Strong Functional/Regression/End To End Integration Testing concepts (experience with STLC lifecycle) Experience in creating Test Data for positive and negative testing scenarios Ability to walkthrough; demo uses cases and testing results to project team Automation experience preferably Selenium cucumber /Playwright (UFT) Onshore/offshore coordination experience with ability to collaborate with internal and external integrated teams Working Knowledge with QA deliverables tool set (SharePoint, Microsoft Project/Excel, Test Management tool- Octane) Methodologies and Agile tools (Jira) Knowledge of Defect management process and Enterprise Testing standards Excellent verbal and written skills, to include advanced interpersonal and proven presentation skills Ability to manage competing priorities on an ongoing basis Ability to be self-directed to complete assigned activities Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
