Overview:

The RN Structural Heart Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with management of the Valve and Structural Heart Program. The Structural Heart Coordinator ensures patients receive timely, safe, effective and high-quality care. Theycoordinate the patient's plan of care with NP Coordinator. TheStructural Heart Coordinator is responsible for direct and indirect management for the assigned inpatient, and outpatient patient population. A strong clinical background with an understanding of Valvular and Structural Heart disease is essential. The ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external referring physicians, to develop support resources and development of a program registration are keys to success. This position may be involved in research, patient andprofessional education programs. The role of theStructural Heart Coordinator will evolve over time to meet the needs of the patients and practice.

Qualifications:

  • Education: RN, Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Licensure: Current licensure in the state of employment.
  • Experience: 3-5 years Cardiology experience preferred. Broad knowledge of structural heart disease.
  • Certification: BLS and ACLS within 90 days of hire or transfer.
  • Other: Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities/demands. Ability to maintain detailed records. Possesses a high degree of self-motivation and ability to function independently. Proficiency in Excel, spreadsheeting. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Must be able to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and policies. Must be able to communicate clearly, establish and maintain effective working relationships with multi-disciplinary teams regarding the ongoing care and treatment of valve patients.
