Lineperson/Material Handler- Night Shift

At Utz Quality Foods, we have expanded our Kings Mountain, NC manufacturing facility and looking for a dedicated Raw Material Utility "Lineperson" to join our team. This hands-on role will involve material handling, operating palletizing equipment, and supporting our packaging operations to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.

Available Shifts Include:




  • Week 1: Monday-Thursday, 6:30 PM-6:30 AM/ Week 2: Monday-Wednesday, 6:30 PM-6:30 AM (Schedule repeats weekly)
  • Week 1: Friday-Sunday 6:30PM-6:30AM/ Week 2: Thursday-Sunday 6:30PM-6:30AM (Schedule repeats weekly)


Responsibilities:



  • Moves product from packing area to warehouse by pulling jacks filled with product.
  • Accurately scans finished product into inventory with use of scanning equipment.
  • Orders materials (cartons, liners) for packers from material handler.
  • Sets up mats and cartons for packers before production begins each day.
  • Prepares packing area when packaging different products.
  • Helps relieve for breaks and lunches.
  • Helps clean floor and equipment in packing room weekly.



Requirements:



  • Understanding of food safety rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
  • Pallet Jack experience or the ability to learn
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while staying organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent English communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, production environment.
  • Bilingual preferred but not required, to support diverse team communication.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate production and data entry equipment.

  • Must have the ability to multi-task.

  • Knowledge of safe operating practices involved in the use of lock-out/tag-out programs and food safety.
  • Experience with general mechanic tools (Allen wrenches, screw drivers, etc.).
