Position Overview:

The Associate Business System Analyst (ABSA) role will work with IT Lead BSA's to ensure business process and technical system solutions align with business needs, compliance, GDPR, data security.

The Associate BSA is responsible for analyzing system business processes/ requirements and translating them into functional specifications for system design, including use case creation for the development and implementation of solutions.

As a successful candidate you will have experience with prior IT, system testing, use case and wire diagram mapping experience in human resources, finance, quality assurance, or similar. This is a hybrid position based out of our Framingham, MA office.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Ameresco IT, vendors, and business units to gather, analyze, and document requirements for new systems and/or existing systems for feature enhancements and business process improvements.

  • Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications.

  • Evaluate existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for optimization.

  • Work closely with business users, project managers, functional and technical subject matter experts to ensure successful delivery of solutions.

  • Participate in requirements sessions gathering and documenting elicit requirements and validate solutions.

  • Develop cases, process flows, and data models to support system design.

  • Support of business user acceptance testing (UAT) and training efforts.

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues post-deployment.

  • Maintain documentation versioning and ensure compliance with internal standards and policies.

  • Manage andoptimizecyclicalsystemadministration tasks, including auditprocesses,system reporting,and access reviews, ensuring compliance and operational continuity.

  • Use JIRA to triage, track, and resolve tickets.

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of user training and documentation for new processes and features.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in business/ systems analysis of an enterprise HCM system.

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

  • Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft products including excel, Visio, Power Automate, Power BI, Workday.

  • Business process improvement/ change management documentation and support.

  • Business processes definition, system automation, risk, compliance, SOX, SOC, and audits.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with JIRA, enterprise applications, and AI.

  • Experience with data integration and reporting tools.

  • Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) certification a plus.

  • Power BI development.

  • Microsoft connection/integration design, build, and deployment.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
