| SUMMARY The Laundry Service Manager will support the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to support disaster response operations and manage temporary facility support services.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Includes the following: 
 Oversees daily laundry service operations and ensures quality of products servedProvides leadership to support staff and foster a positive and cooperative work environmentMaintains safe and sanitary work environments for occupants using facilitiesManages all service requests to laundry facilities and oversees maintenance to completionProvides reports on all laundry facilities and maintains all records accordinglyOrders supplies and maintains stock and inventory controlEnsures compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and requirementsInspecting and diagnosing equipment, machinery, or systems to identify faults or malfunctionsRepairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems using appropriate tools and techniquesConducting routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns or malfunctions of temporary facility related equipmentTesting and evaluating equipment functionality after repairs or maintenanceKnowledge of federal ADA requirementsProviding clear explanations and guidance regarding repair processes, costs, and schedulesMaintain accurate records of repairs, including parts used and work performedAbility to adhere to safety guidelines, regulations, and company policies while performing repairsMaintains knowledge of industry standards, codes, and best practices related to repair and maintenance   SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY May perform task or site lead functions including: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 
 An associate degree with no less than 2 years of professional experience working as an Administrator or Manager preferably in a government environment. Traveled as a part of work requirementsBilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are not required but are preferred  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 
 Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via oral and written meansAbility to remain calm in the midst of difficult circumstances and emergenciesProven experience in equipment repair, maintenance, or a related fieldStrong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems (MEP)Proficiency in using various hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipmentExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to think analyticallyStrong attention to detail and ability to work with precisionEffective communication skills to interact with customers and team membersPhysical stamina and dexterity to perform repairs in various settingsThe ability to successfully pass a drug screen and a federal background check is mandatory WORK ENVIRONMENT Legal Disclaimer: Cherokee Federal is an equal opportunity employer.
