Facilities Maintenance Technician

In this role, you'll perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on building systems, utilities, and other non-production facilities. Responsibilities:



  • Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment, including:

    • Motor controls, AC/DC drives, pumps, fans, and air compressors
    • HVAC systems, hydraulic equipment, and burner systems


  • Diagnose and repair PLC-controlled equipment and perform minor electrical installations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on facility systems to ensure minimal downtime
  • Complete repair and installation work using schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Maintain and repair building systems, including lighting, plumbing, and basic structural components.
  • Support contractor work and special facility projects as needed.
  • Conduct routine inspections of facility systems to ensure compliance with safety, GMP, and food safety standards.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and reports in accordance with company procedures.
  • Follow all company safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Report unsafe conditions or practices immediately to supervision.


Requirements:



  • 2-4 years of experience in facility, electrical, or industrial maintenance (manufacturing experience preferred).
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and controls preferred
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and test instruments.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to work at heights using ladders, lifts, or platforms.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
  • Effective communication skills with operators, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Ability to perform under pressure while multitasking in a fast-paced production environment.
