Overview: Oak Ridge National Laboratory is the largest US Department of Energy science and energy laboratory, conducting basic and applied research to deliver transformative solutions to compelling problems in energy and security. We are seeking a Technical Professional who will support the Disruptive Manufacturing Systems Development Group in the Manufacturing Science Division, Energy Science and Technology Directorate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). If selected, you will contribute to the development of new metal additive manufacturing systems and processes, as well as the understanding of process-structure-property relationships in ultra-large-scale advanced manufactured components targeted towards replacement of casting and forging processes. A strong experience in both research and industry labs is required. The primary research location would be at the Manufacturing Demonstration Facility (MDF) - ORNL's Hardin Valley campus.
