Summary:

Goldbelt Frontier is hiring a Logistics Specialist to support our Army Customer in Falls Church, VA. This is a Full-Time position that will end tentatively on December 31st.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Utilizes knowledge of import and export of materials to exercise procedures and controls.
  • Prepares import and export documentation as required.
  • Performs technical tasks on assigned projects with responsibility for quality and cost control.
  • Identifies potential problems and develops/communicates possible solutions to appropriate staff/departments.
  • Plans and coordinates logistics operations between warehouses and designated facilities/units to ensure timely and accurate receipt of materials, spares, equipment, etc.
  • Perform administrative and logistical functions, as directed.
  • Prepare and maintain the property, maintenance, operational records, and periodic/scheduled reports.
  • Coordinate event, meal, travel, and shipping arrangements and planning.
  • Coordinate installation & maintenance activities.
  • Maintain the inventory databases of equipment and assets.
  • Coordinates and accounts for all shipping and receiving of equipment.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with peers, technicians, clients and management.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook E-mail business software.
  • Knowledge of inventory procedures and accountability.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Strong written and interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least five years (5) of experience working as a Logistician supporting event, meal, travel, shipping planning and execution.
  • Experience working with a wide range of logistics and procurement processes.
  • General warehouse experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Government procurement systems is a plus.
  • DoD Logistician experience a plus.
  • Familiarization with adaptive sports equipment is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is: $70,000-$80,000.
