West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech) is a divisional campus of West Virginia University (WVU) focused on four-year undergraduate education. The campus is located in Beckley, West Virginia, near the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve, world-class whitewater rafting, and other outdoor recreation activities. WVU Tech is currently inviting applications for the following employment opportunity:

The Department of Mathematics in the School of Arts and Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor starting January 5, 2026. This is a 9-month, full-time position with full benefits. The successful candidate will teach 12 contact hours per semester, including mathematics courses for engineering students and general education requirements. In addition, the successful candidate will pursue scholarly activities, serve on committees, and engage in outreach activities.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics. Commitment to teaching excellence, responsiveness to student needs, and good communication skills are essential.
