Responsibilities

To provide peer recovery support services and coaching to recovery housing participants, utilizing recovery management tools.

  • Provide coaching and recovery support to participants according to the Hazelden Betty Ford standards of care
  • Provide assistant to clients in the form of helping clients find resources, making phone calls, and helping clients with daily tasks for living in recovery housing
  • As required by site, monitor and maintain medication administration needs, med logs and storage cabinet. Follow Medication administration policies and procedures. Report medication needs in notes or medication concerns needing follow-up in staff log and to appropriate staff
  • Ensure site/building is in compliance with safety regulations including fire and guest/visitor expectations

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or the equivalent
  • Certification and training in peer support services
  • Experience providing peer support in a 12-Step program as well as other recovery pathways
  • Training/proficiency in computer applications, and Microsoft products, Office, Word, PowerPoint, Windows, and Excel, along with the use of internet as work tools
  • Public speaking, group presentation experience
  • Must be age 18 or older
  • Must have a current driver's license
  • Current CPR certification or obtain within 30 days
    • Certification must be from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
