In this role you will be the subject matter expert, provide operational support, manage the daily workflow, provide direct patient care in addition to directing the ultrasound team who provide patient care in an environment with conflicting priorities from both internal and external factors. You will also engage in technical staff, student and resident/fellow training, along with assisting in the assessment and integration of new hires within the department.

We expect that you will be well versed in ultrasound techniques, ultrasound equipment and ultrasound procedures. This will encompass the operation of the ultrasound system, optimization to produce diagnostic images of the appropriate human anatomy, understanding prescribed departmental protocols, department workflow and training.

Working with the Ultrasound Section Chief, Section Director and Regional Supervisors, the incumbent will work to ensure that high quality ultrasounds examinations are performed in a timely manner. This person will provide input in the development and updates of exam protocols, training guidelines, core staff competencies and department workflow/process. You will be expected to support all imaging centers staffed by our organization.

Salary Range: $69.68-$84.92 Hourly

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of ultrasound experience - required
  • RDMS (AB, OBGYN and RVT) - required
  • BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) - required
  • Graduate of CAAHEP ultrasound program - strongly preferred
  • BS in Sonography or higher - preferred
  • Previous leadership experience - preferred
  • Ability to participate in on-call, holiday, and weekend rotating shifts
