Job Description

The University of Missouri is advancing research capabilities in the state, embarking on a new, vendor-partnered, quantum computing initiative. The Coordinator of Quantum Computing Services will be responsible for orchestration of planning, development, implementation, and sustaining operations for the quantum computing initiative. The Coordinator will:

Lead project planning and development with stakeholders in relation to quantum technologies.
Engage in stakeholder outreach and communication.
Work with the vendor on service delivery, metrics and reporting.
Orchestrate processes including developing and maintaining standards and organizational mechanisms to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of the initiatives.
Provide reporting and analysis of service and project related data.
Apply project and logistical skills to keep efforts on track and progressing.

Shift

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm with some flexibility and potential for after hours and weekend work as needed

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in a major relating to technology, technology management, process management, computer science, engineering, or related fields (or equivalent experience) is required.

Remote work is generally acceptable for this position, but because of the social nature of some parts of the work, and some requirements for participation at in-person events, the position holder must be within a reasonable distance to campus (2 hours maximum drive) with ability to perform as-needed commutes without additional compensation for travel.

This position requires access to information or technology that is subject to export control regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Only U.S. Persons as defined by these regulations are eligible for this position. A U.S. Person includes: a U.S. citizen; a lawful permanent resident; and a protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). The University will not apply for licenses or use applicable license exceptions for this position. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

PMP or certificate in Engineering Management preferred.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $55,000 - $80,000 Commensurate with experience
