This Position reports to:

In this role, you'll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

The work model for the role is: remote out of the Dallas, TX area. #LI-Remote

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Customer Interaction: Working directly with gas utility customers to identify and solve operational issues. Striving to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction in all transactions and relationships.

  • Technical Tasks: Providing expert technical support. Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues. Conducting data analysis remotely to identify trends, optimize performance, and provide actionable insights.

  • Support and Maintenance: Performing hands-on field service tasks, overseeing installations, repairs, preventative and unplanned maintenance of ABB equipment.

  • Documentation and Communication: Addressing customer questions with detailed technical answers and documentation. Log customer issues and track resolutionsto ensure all problems are addressed efficiently and to maintain a record for future reference. Consistently deliver customer feedback internally to help drive product improvements and new feature development.

  • Administrative Functions: Writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, completing field service reports, time sheets, and expense reports in a timely and thorough manner.

  • Demonstrations and Training: Conducting field demonstrations and acting as a trainer for both field service associates and customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science discipline (OR a High School diploma with a minimum of 5 years of engineering/field experience).

  • Minimum of 2 years of field experience in a customer facing technical support role.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% as required; Ability and willingness to possess and maintainvalid passport and driver's license.

  • Technical skills andexpertise in startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of analytical gas analyzers. Hands-on experience with cleaning optics and troubleshooting electronics is highly desirable.

  • Prior experience in the natural gas utility industry, with a focus on sustainability initiatives, technological innovations, and regulatory compliance, is highly desirable.

  • Proven ability to cultivate strong customer relationships and adeptly convey technical information to non-technical audiences.

  • Demonstrated and capacity to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, including Research & Development, Product Management, Sales, and Business Development. Have good interpersonal skills, with an aptitude for teamwork.

  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision with a willingness to learn and continuously improve their technical skills.

  • Must have work authorization to work for ABB in the US (no visa sponsorship available).

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $65,100 and $104,160 annually.
