| Duties & Responsibilities |
Hands-On Technical Training and Team Support:
- Assist journey-level craft/trade staff with technical tasks and assignments.
- Perform hands-on work using tools, equipment, and materials-initially with supervision, progressing toward greater independence.
- Support daily team operations and projects.
- Apply classroom and on-the-job learning to real-world assignments.
Troubleshooting, Problem Solving, and Process Improvement:
- Practice troubleshooting techniques and equipment maintenance under supervision.
- Participate in process improvement efforts and team-based solutions.
Quality, Safety, and Compliance Monitoring:
- Support efforts to monitor safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Promote adherence to safety and operational protocols at all times.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of and skill in using basic math.
- Knowledge of methods and principles used in the carpentry trade.
- Knowledge of using spreadsheet and word processing software.
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
- Ability to read written materials, such as work instructions, safety procedures and material data safety sheets.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to use tools and power tools.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work physically demanding job.
- Working conditions include but are not limited to restricted movement, extreme temperatures, intense noise, hazardous materials, wet locations, hazardous working locations, and lifting and/or carrying heavy objects.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
- Ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.

- Participation in a skilled trade training program or one year of experience in construction, maintenance or other trade setting.

| Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report |
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
