Position SummaryTheDirector, Professional Services EngineeringatBelden Inc.leads a high-performance team responsible for delivering innovative, customer-centric engineering solutions and services across industrial automation, networking, and cybersecurity domains. This role ensures the successful design, implementation, and support of professional services projects globally, with a strong focus on quality, scalability, and customer satisfaction. The Director will drive operational excellence, foster technical leadership, and align service delivery with Belden's strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Leadership & Strategy

    • Develop and execute the global professional services engineering strategy aligned with Belden's business objectives.
    • Lead, mentor, and scale a team of engineering professionals and project managers across regions.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration.


  • Service Delivery Excellence

    • Oversee the planning, design, and execution of customer-specific projects including assessments, installations, migrations, and optimization services.
    • Ensure technical deliverables meet quality standards, scope, and budget expectations.
    • Develop standardized processes, methodologies, and tools for efficient service delivery.


  • Customer Engagement & Growth

    • Act as a strategic partner to customers, ensuring alignment of solutions with customer goals.
    • Collaborate with Sales and Product Management to identify new service opportunities and support pre-sales activities.
    • Lead initiatives to expand Belden's portfolio of professional services offerings.


  • Operational Management

    • Manage budgets, resource allocation, and KPIs for global service engineering operations.
    • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, risk mitigation, and industry regulations.
    • Track, analyze, and report on project and service performance metrics.


  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Interface with Engineering, Product Development, Marketing, and Sales to drive service integration and customer value.
    • Support internal teams with training, knowledge transfer, and technical enablement initiatives.




QualificationsRequired:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in professional services, systems integration, or engineering consulting, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven ability to lead distributed technical teams across global geographies.
  • Strong understanding of industrial automation, OT/IT networking, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Track record of driving services innovation and scaling delivery models.


Preferred:



  • Experience in industrial verticals (e.g., manufacturing, energy, transportation).
  • Familiarity with Belden's product and solution portfolio.
  • PMP, ITIL, or equivalent certifications a plus.

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $160,000 - $200,000 annually, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant's experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
