Job Description
Shift: Night Shift Premium Pay: $1.75 Pay Rate: $26.50 or increase wage by $1.50
The Lead Team Performance Leader (TPL) is accountable for leading the daily operations as well as meeting shift performance goals. Additionally, the Lead TPL will coordinate production requirements by communicating production priorities established through Production Management, Production Control, and Shipping, as well as ensuring orders are processed with an emphasis on food safety, quality, and productivity.
* Administer current safety programs to assure the health and safety of employees and meet OSHA requirements * Provide assistance to CMTs for medical assistance * Guide and direct department safety leaders * Enforce Plant & Department Safety Rules * Monitor employee behaviors/work practices, address unsafe acts/conditions and SQF violations * Perform and process safety, behavioral, SQF and housekeeping audits * Lead investigation initiatives as they relate to safety and SQF events. * Facilitate use of in-house quality control systems as needed (QM modules, paper charts, CAPA, etc.) * Help ensure materials produced meet established quality standards * Administer 6S activities in the department including daily audits. * Analyze quality issues to determine root cause and communicate with appropriate parties to eliminate future occurrences. * Drive and assist with the CAPA process. * Coaching, mentoring and development of TPL's, Water spiders and Techs. * Attend and assist with monthly departmental safety meetings. * Completing the night shift TPL's PfP ratings. * Cost owners for Converting night shift operations. * Ensure proper budgeted staffing is met and sustained. * Ensure departments meet Daily Management metrics and expectations for performance. * Lead problem identification and problem-solving events and activities. * Run night shift DI/Tier review meetings. * Plant leader for incident investigation and employee concerns. * Conduct TPL Gemba walks. * Direct maintenance priorities for the Converting departments. * Lead and oversee departmental projects and action items. * Review and address Converting cost variances. * GPL back up resource. * Lead TPL Pre-Flight activities. * Lead TPL-TPL Handover processes. * Ensure compliance to TPL Leader Standard Work.
Qualifications
* Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, be well organized, and be a team player. * Computer knowledge (SAP, Excel, Word) * Demonstrated safety commitment * Positive work history with an ability to manage multiple tasks * Able to work both independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management * Assist and support "Lean initiatives" within the Converting departments * Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with professional presentation and negotiation skills. * Maintain a professional appearance and attitude * As a team member, follow all safety, quality, plant GMP and safe food handling rules * Follow all applicable EHS, Quality and Food Safety procedures and protocols, and reports any incident to his/her supervisor. * Complete all EHS, Quality and Food Safety applicable training. * Support implementation of the Quality and Food Safety program and comply with the expectations if this role is included as part of the Food Safety or Internal Audit team. * Flexible work schedule based upon project demands and business needs.
Education and Experience: * High school diploma or equivalent * Bachelor's degree preferred; Experience can be considered in lieu of degree. * Minimum 2-5 years in a manufacturing environment
