Metronome is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support Platform One's Iron Bank, the DoD's hardened container registry and software factory. This role focuses on building, automating, and securing infrastructure and Kubernetes-based environments deployed to IL5/IL6 cloud environments. The ideal candidate brings deep experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, and containerized application security.

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for multi-tenant cloud environments.

• Lead deployment and automation of Kubernetes clusters across IL5/IL6 environments (AWS GovCloud, on-prem, and hybrid).

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.

• Build and maintain secure containerized workloads using Docker, Kustomize, and Helm.

• Troubleshoot and optimize microservices and platform performance within Kubernetes environments.

• Integrate static and dynamic security scanning tools (SAST/DAST) and vulnerability management into CI/CD pipelines.

• Serve as a senior technical lead across DevSecOps initiatives, mentoring junior engineers and driving best practices.

7-10 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Software Development.

Strong hands-on experience with:

Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm for container orchestration and deployment.

Terraform for IaC automation and environment provisioning.

GitLab CI/CD pipelines, written in Python and Bash.

AWS (GovCloud preferred) for cloud infrastructure management.

Experience debugging and configuring microservices in production environments.

Deep understanding of Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.

Active Secret Clearance (minimum).

Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CySA+, GSEC, SSCP, etc.)

Prior experience supporting Platform One or Iron Bank programs.

Hands-on experience working within IL6 environments.

Experience with Istio or other service mesh technologies.

Experience creating Grafana dashboards and automated alerting systems.
