West Virginia University School of Nursing Bridgeport Department located at Bridgeport, WV invites applications for an Instructor/Assistant Professor position in the Clinical Teaching, Non-Tenure Track. This is a full time, 12-month, benefits eligible position. This position will report to the department chairperson.

Faculty Responsibilities:

* Didactic and/or clinical teaching in BSN programs. Primary responsibilities are clinical/skills lab/simulation instruction; didactic instruction may be included according to program need and/or faculty expertise.
* Course and/or clinical coordination, including but not limited to organizing course/clinical in learning platform, developing learning materials and assessments, providing feedback and grades, organizing, and communicating clinical experiences, working as a collaborative part of the Bridgeport faculty team, and entering mid-term and final grades.

Qualifications

Candidate Qualifications:

* Master's degree (MSN) in nursing or bachelor's degree in nursing and enrolled within a graduate degree program with a major in nursing within one (1) year of employment or Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) with ten (10) years of professional nursing practice experience.
* Required to have unencumbered WV RN License by position start date.
* Evidence of current experience in nursing practice and education sufficient to demonstrate professional competence.

Preferred qualifications:
* Experience in Fundamentals and/or Medical Surgical Nursing OR
* Obstetrics and Medical Surgical Nursing
* Two (2) years teaching experience in nursing education
* Applicants with an earned doctorate in nursing or a related field are encouraged to apply.
