We are seeking Principal level Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering professionals and seismologists to support our Nuclear Services Group. Our positions offer remote flexibility.  A typical day may include providing engineering support for our Nuclear Services Group, DOE and Commercial Projects. Most projects are multi-disciplined and require extensive interface with other engineers as well as our clients. Duties of this role include proposal preparation, developing design studies, preparing engineering calculations and reports, attending project meetings, performing walkdowns, and mentoring and training junior employees. Preparing, reviewing, and overseeing geotechnical site investigations is part of the duties of this role. Other duties of this role include performing reviews of engineering calculations and reports in the areas of deterministic and Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Analysis (PSHA), site amplification/response analysis, and spectrum compatible acceleration time history development. 
     Collaborate Across Disciplines: Act as the bridge between engineering teams, ensuring seamless integration and coordination across all project disciplines Shape Project Success: Develop innovative design studies, define project scopes, prepare or review geotechnical site investigation programs and create accurate engineering estimates to drive project excellenceMaster Procurement & Installation: Draft detailed specifications for geotechnical projects, evaluate technical bids, and select top-tier solutions to meet project needsThink Creatively: Bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to solve complex technical challenges and push projects forwardBe Hands-On in the Field: Travel to project sites, conduct walkdowns of plant structures, systems, and components related to the project work scopeLead & Inspire Teams: Foster a positive, goal-oriented environment with your motivational leadership style, empowering teams to achieve successQualifications
 
 
     Advanced Degree in Civil Engineering or Geophysics from an ABET accredited university with experience in applying geotechnical earthquake engineering and seismology principlesMinimum 10 years of geotechnical engineering experiencePE certification preferredExperience in geotechnical earthquake engineering design and analysis, and ground motion characterization and seismic hazard implementation, preferably for nuclear power plantsExperience in software such as PLAXIS, FLAC3D, SASSI, RSPMATCH, and SHAKE preferredKnowledge of codes, standards, regulations, guidelines of NRC, EPRI, NEI, ASCE and ASTM Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access at power generation and nuclear power plants and DOE sitesAbility to provide technical guidance to support staffAbility and willingness to apply established technical knowledge to less familiar applicationsFlexibility to respond and adapt to client and project needsStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teamsAbility to travel between 10-20% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeksPay Range
