| Description HOLT CAT is looking for Service High School Interns in Fort Worth, TX. Under the direction and guidance of the Shop Service Supervisor, the Intern - Shop Service will receive on-the-job training in order to learn and develop in all shop functions. Essential Functions: 
  
 Attends required classroom instructions by Pro-Tech and HDSI classesMaintains safety training and proceduresOn-the-job training curriculum may include: 
 
    
 Perform maintenance Help install, repair, and replace mechanical and electronic componentsClean and/or lubricate machinesExamine and test equipment, components, and parts to ensure proper functioningAdjust, connect, or disconnect wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts, using hand or power toolsAdjust, maintain, and repair equipment and machine components
 
Receives coaching, mentoring and feedback from Service LeadershipPerforms related duties and fulfills responsibilities as requiredWorks safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standardsRequires regular and punctual employee attendancePerforms other duties as assigned
 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 
  
 Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to learnBasic computer skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsTime management and organizational skillsBasic math calculations and the ability to read, write, and understand work instructions
 Education and Experience: 
  
 Currently pursuing a high school diploma or equivalentCurrently enrolled in Diesel Technology, Ag Mechanics, or a similar program preferred

 No travel is expected for this position
 Physical Requirements: 
  
 This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, frequent movement inside in a warehouse environmentThis role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situationsFrequently moves product or equipment weighing up to 35 lbs.Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and staminaAscend/descend with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet and climb up and down ladders or stairsRoutinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work

 This job is generally performed in a warehouse environment; in environmentally controlled conditions, operating a computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, and repetitive motionOccasionally works outdoors and may be exposed to weather extremes conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidityFrequently works at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
