Acara Solutions seeks an RF Integration and Test Engineer for our client in Ft Wayne. IN.
- As an Integration and Test Engineer for the Smart Munitions team within Advanced Electronics Systems, which is part of the Land and Air Systems LOB, you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for system integration and test of hardware/software components responsible for the realization of complex GPS and Navigation systems.
- You'll contribute to CONOPS, requirements validation, system verification, performance analysis, design support, integration, test, and verification of these systems.
- As the Advanced Test Engineer, you'll participate in the planning of technical approaches, resources, schedules, budgets, and equipment necessary for the testing and evaluation of new RF and GPS/Navigation systems, products, and special devices.
- Utilizing your expert knowledge and understanding of test engineering concepts and principles, you'll prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and equipment, and complete specifications and procedures throughout the engineering development lifecycle.
- Openly proposes ideas that enhance productivity and efficiency, solicits input, and optimizes solutions.
- Participates in the planning of technical approaches, resources, schedule, budget, and equipment required for testing and evaluating new systems, products, and special devices.
- Executes the test approach and documents system verification throughout the engineering development lifecycle.
- Generate system test work products by applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools.
- Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products.
- Develops and conducts functional, environmental, operational, or performance tests on hardware, software, and systems.
- Assists with the design, development, and implementation of cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and systems for all phases of product development and manufacturing.
- Isolates and documents issues and defects.
- Supports the generation of technical engineering products by using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle.
- Researches and analyzes data, such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals, to determine the feasibility of design or application.
- Keeps abreast of technology trends.
- Contributes to the development of new theories and methods related to RF and GPS/Navigation Systems.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science or Mathematics.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with object-oriented programming, system processes, and scripting languages.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Proficient use and understanding of test engineering concepts, principles, and theories related to RF and GPS/Navigation Systems.
- Proficient knowledge and experience with the SAFE Agile process.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication skills.
